The Touristic Innovation Factory (TIF) is intended to be built in part of an existing building that houses the Costa Adeje Tourist Development Centre in (CATDC), initially thought to be a training centre in Hotel and Catering Industry and Tourism. TIF Canary Initiative is proposed as a center of modernization and high performance in applied creativity and innovation, an environment 100% dedicated to the development of innovative potential of the industry of tourism. The adopted solution seeks three main aims: to generate a new technological space in which to develop the Factory and which acts as a showcase for companies outside, to satisfy the needs of the program and to combine the currect use of the building with the new implementation of the TIF. This triple object is achieved by the inclusion of a skin-element that is unfolded within the perimeter reserved to the intervention, without being attached to it. Therefore, two spaces are clearly defined in the project, an interior space to the skin where the exhibition programme is developed and an outdoor space that is concentrated between the same skin and the perimeter of the intervention (the interface: the place of interaction, space to develop trade and crafts), where the areas and routes for required services, facilities and offices are located.
